ENSEMBLES
Below you will find a variety of ensembles in which students can be involved in during their time with the Sherrard Middle School Band Program.
BAND
The Sherrard Middle School Band is made up of 6th, 7th, & 8th grade Band students. The Ensemble performs for a winter and spring concert, the Region I Band Festival, Pep Rallies, and other local adjudications.
RAMS OF STEEL
The Rams of Steel is still in the process of being created. We are hoping to add the program by 2nd semester. More information to come!
A steel band is an ensemble comprising various types of steel drums, or pans as they are known, and a percussion section with drumset, congas, and other Latin percussion instruments. Musical styles from the Caribbean such as calypso, reggae, and salsa are often staples of the repertory, but a steel band is capable of performing any kind of music.

March 26 - Night of Excellence - with the JMHS Steel Band (times TBA)
SOLO & ENSEMBLES
Students will have the opportunity to perform as a soloist and/or in a small ensemble at the end of 1st semester into the beginning of 2nd semester. These groups will then be able perform in adjudication at the Solo & Ensemble Festival held at West Liberty University in February.
PERCUSSION ENSEMBLE
The Rams Percussion Ensemble is made up of 6th, 7th, & 8th grade Band students. The Ensemble performs for a winter and spring concert, Solo & Ensemble, and other local adjudications.
